Our Instructors & Staff Members
Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kung Fu and Kumdo and have attained a high level of expertise and training to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.
Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in the traditional martial arts they teach and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.
Hee Ro (Grandmaster) 
Grand Master Hee Ro, is an 9th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo as well as a Master of Hapkido, Kumdo and Kung Fu. He is the son of the founder of Modern Taekwondo, Supreme Grand Master Byung Jick Ro and has committed his life to the study, practice and teaching of traditional martial arts.

Patrick Carey (Head Instructor)
Mr. Patrick Carey is the Head Instructor of the World Martial Arts Center. He holds a 4th Dan Black Belt in Taeguek Kumdo, a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, Certified by both the World Song Moo Kwan Association and Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo headquarters in Korea. He also holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Hapkido and a 1st Dan Black Sash in Shaolin Kung Fu. Mr. Carey began practicing martial arts(judo)in 1979, and earned his first dan black belt in Taekwondo in 1983. Mr. Carey is Certified as a 1st Class National Hanmadang Referee by the Kukkiwon, a National Sparring referee by the AAU and is also a Certified Song Moo Kwan Head Instructor.
In his extensive martial arts practice over the past 30 years Mr. Carey has studied under Grandmaster Moo Young Yun, Master Rich Johnson, Grandmaster Hee Ro and has also been accepted as a direct student of Sifu Shih Yan Gao, a 34th Generation Shaolin Monk.

Steven Wankewycz (Co- Head Instructor)
Mr. Steven Wankewycz is the Co-Head Instructor of the World Martial Arts Center. He holds a 4th Dan Black Belt in Taeguek Kumdo, a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, Certified by both the World Song Moo Kwan Association and the Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo headquarters in Korea. He also holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Hapkido and a 2nd Dan Black Sash in Shaolin Kung Fu. Mr. Wankewycz is Certified as a 1st Class National Hanmadang Referee by the Kukkiwon and is also a Certified Song Moo Kwan Head Instructor.
In addition to his studies under Grandmaster Hee Ro, Mr. Wankewycz has also been accepted as a direct student of Sifu Shih Yan Gao, a 34th Generation Shaolin Monk.

Leo Ramroop (Taekwondo Grandmaster)
Grandmaster Leo Ramroop, 8th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, is an Instructor at the Main School, frequently teaching the Black Belt Taekwondo classes. Grandmaster Ramroop is a Certified Instructor.

Michael Stein (Taekwondo Master Instructor)
Master Michael Stein holds a 6th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. Master Stein is a Taekwondo Instructor at the Main School, frequently teaching the Black Belt class, and is a Certified Instructor.

Jason Bergerson (Kung Fu Instructor)
Mr. Jason Bergerson is a Kung Fu Instructor at the Main School. He holds a 2nd Dan Black Sash in Shaolin Kung Fu, a 1st Dan Black Belt in Hapkido and has also studied a number of different styles of Kung Fu, and is a color belt in Taekwondo.

Peiling Liu (Assistant Taekwondo Instructor)
Ms. Liu is an Assistant Taekwondo Instructor at the Main School. She holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo and is a Certified Assistant Instructor. Ms. Liu is a color belt in Shaolin Kung Fu.

Steve Rogers (Assistant Instructor, Taekwondo, Hapkido)
Mr. Rogers is an Assistant Taekwondo and Hapkido Instructor at the Main School. He holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo and in Hapkido is a also a Certified Assistant Instructor. Mr. Rogers a color belt in Shaolin Kung Fu.

Bryony Rogers (Assistant Instructor)
Mrs. Rogers is an Assistant Instructor at the Main School. She holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Kumdo and is progressing through the color belt ranks in Shaolin Kung Fu as well as Taekwondo
