Our Facility

Our Facility

Our school is on South Lyndale Avenue just North of Lake Street in Uptown, Minneapolis and right next to the Midtown Greenway. It is a state-of-the-art martial arts fitness center, and is without a doubt the premier martial arts facility in Minnesota.

The building is 6400 square feet, with an additional 1500 square feet of secure, outdoor training area behind the school. We have the usual assortment of kicking bags, pads and targets and training aids you'd expect. The main training area is entirely covered with a rubber mat, and we have additional, thicker mats we use for throwing and falling.

The main training room is a large, open room, with 18 foot ceilings and gigantic iron beams, giving it an open, airy warehouse feel. The front of the building has large windows, and the North side also has 5 full size glass block windows, which illuminate the room with natural sunlight and make for a very pleasant, natural training experience. There is a large unisex bathroom on the main floor.

The basement has a large waiting area, men and women's bathrooms and very large men and women's changing rooms.

There is also an office/pro-shop on the main floor just inside the front door, and on the mezzanine level there is an office and a uniforms & supplies storage area.

Entrances

We have 2 entrances to the school. The front entrance faces Lyndale Avenue, and the back entrance and outdoor training area face Garfield Avenue. The back entrance is immediately adjacent to a large, City of Minneapolis Parking lot, and there is a convenient drop off area with a sidewalk leading right up to the back door, making it much, much safer than Lyndale Avenue to drop off children.

Parking

In the front of the school, there is metered street parking up and down Lyndale Avenue and on 29th Street. In the back of the school there is street parking with no parking meters on Garfield Avenue, and there is the large City (pay) parking lot. Being in an urban neighborhood also allows a lot of students to bike, run, walk or take the bus to class.
